Terms of Use
The terms that govern this website. The engagement letter, not this page, governs the work we do for you.
Accepting these terms
By using namuadvisory.com you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
What this site is
A description of a professional practice and general information about accounting, tax and advisory matters. It is not advice for your situation, it is not an offer to perform services, and it may become out of date as law and thresholds change.
No client relationship until engagement
Reading this site, submitting the contact form, or having an initial conversation does not make you a client. A client relationship begins only when both parties sign an engagement letter setting out scope, fees and responsibilities.
The engagement letter governs the work
Where anything on this site differs from your engagement letter, the engagement letter controls. Nothing here varies, expands or limits the obligations either of us takes on in that letter.
Client portal
The client portal is provided through Financial Cents, and your use of it is governed by their terms and privacy policy as well as by these terms. We control who at the firm has access and what is posted there; availability, uptime and the platform itself are theirs. Keep your credentials to yourself, enable multi-factor authentication, and tell us immediately if you believe an account has been compromised.
Online payments and billing
Invoices are paid through third-party payment processors. Card and bank details are entered with the processor and are held by them, not by us; we see that a payment succeeded, not the numbers behind it. Where we operate a bill payment or spend platform on your behalf under an engagement, that platform’s own terms apply alongside ours, and authority to move money stays with you and whoever you have authorized.
Analytics and tracking on this site
This site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand which pages are read and how quickly they load. Neither sets cookies or identifies individual visitors; they record page views, referring sites, device and browser type, approximate country and page-load timing in aggregate. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Technology used to deliver the work
We use cloud accounting, tax, payroll, document and communication platforms to do the work, and software with artificial intelligence features in some of it. Judgment and review stay with the credentialed people on the engagement, no system files anything without a person approving it, and any platform holding client data is assessed before we adopt it. The list of platforms changes as better ones appear; ask at any time what your work runs on.
Acceptable use
Use the site lawfully. Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system, probe or test our security without our written permission, scrape or harvest content, impersonate anyone, or upload anything malicious. We may restrict access to anyone doing so.
Intellectual property
The text, layout, diagrams and images on this site belong to Namu Advisory or are used with permission. NAMU® and EVAREXUS® are registered word marks of Evarexus Holdings LLC, and the Namu emblem is a separately registered design mark of Evarexus Holdings LLC, all used by Namu Advisory with permission. None may be reproduced without written permission. Other names and logos are the trademarks of their owners.
Links and third-party platforms
We link to platforms we work with and to outside resources. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, their security or their terms. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the other side of it.
No warranty on the site itself
The site is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be available without interruption, free of error, or fit for any particular purpose. This paragraph is about the website; the standard of care for professional work is set by your engagement letter and by the professional obligations of the people doing that work.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Namu Advisory is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of this site. Liability arising from professional services is governed by the engagement letter for that work, not by this page.
Indemnity
If your use of this site in breach of these terms causes a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable cost of dealing with it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, and any dispute about the site will be brought in the state or federal courts sitting in New Jersey.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
